Change of plans

The itinerary said that we were suppose to go to the zoo today. Upon further consideration of the needs of the company we were keeping the decision was made to go to:

This was so that we could pet the kangaroos.

We had success in that.
Everyone got pats and feeds and we even saw a few crazy Roos. This little lady was sunning her pouch to warm up her Joey. A boy came up and asked if she was dead. He wasn't too impressed by me when I said we shot her earlier and she was going to be our barbecue lunch. Just gave me a look and walked away.

Caversham has a few shows and during the Farm Show Marissa got to feed a baby lamb. She was one of 6 kids picked in a standing room only crowd. I think they could feel her excited American vibes.

After that was the Wobat Show. We got to pat a few natives (snakes, lizards and possum tails) but the show stopper was in the title.

Isn't he a lucky Papa to have such a beautiful group of granddaughters?
It was cold and now our cheeks feel slightly wind burnt but, oh, so worth it.

Happy Fourth of July, y'all!

Fremantle? More like Crowdedmantle.

Femantle was crazy busy. But we still saw the fish and ate the chips at Cicerelllos.

Marissa was too shy to have her picture taken with the sculpture of a naked man.

When Q came over my nurse of a mother entertained her with a pimple popping blog.

I Made It

At least to beggage claim in Perth airport.

But look at these lovelies I found there:

Getting Closer

Got stuck in the middle row with a person blocking each way but I did have an empty seat to my left. It was alright I didn't have to pee much after sweating it all out in LA.

Sitting in Sydney waiting on my last flight.

Agh!!!

I made it to the gate hot sweaty legs shaking 2 minutes after boarding was supposed to begin. "Lucky" for me they were late to begin and the guys at the check in counter let me through. I cut line in security and now am sitting, waiting and wondering how I did that.

The poor lady had to wipe my sweaty back at security again to make sure I wasn't smuggling anything more sinister than stress.

Now that it will be Qantas's fault if I miss a flight I can relax.

Update selfie:

The reason for all this was that United left SLO 1/2 hour late. Then LAX made us wait for 20 more minutes on the SLO tarmac to fit us in a new schedule then we had to circle LA for a bit. Then my luggage took for what felt like forever. At least I know I can still speed walk/jog through an airport hauling two 50 lb bags.

On My Way

It is 7:48 here in San Luis Obispo Regional Airport and here is a reference photo to see how this face changes with multiple planes and many many hours. If I don't post another selfie then just know it was bad.

P.S. Through some hard work Mom and I got both my bags under the 50lb weight limit. The big bag was 48 and the small bag was 49.5. Phew! Just think. I could have still brought 2.5 lbs more stuff.
